Terms of Service

Thunder is an events organizer based in Doha, Qatar, producing triathlons, road races, swims, rides, and community sporting events.

• To register for a Thunder event you must provide accurate and complete information, including your age and any required medical disclosures.
• Participants under 18 must register with the consent and signature of a parent or legal guardian.
• All registrations are subject to event-specific terms (entry fees, refund windows, transfer policies, qualifying standards) published on the relevant event page.
• Thunder reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or transfer any registration in cases of misrepresentation, safety concerns, or violation of these Terms.

• You agree to follow all event rules, course markings, official instructions, and safety briefings.
• You acknowledge that participating in a triathlon, road race, or other endurance event carries inherent physical risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, and death. You assume these risks knowingly and voluntarily.
• You confirm that you are medically fit to participate, have trained appropriately, and have disclosed any relevant medical conditions to Thunder at registration.
• You will not participate while under the influence of alcohol or unprescribed drugs.

By participating in a Thunder event, you grant Thunder a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use photographs, video, audio, race results, and likenesses captured at the event for editorial, promotional, sponsor reporting, and historical purposes, on any medium including social media. If you wish to opt out of identifiable use, contact info@thunder.qa in advance of the event.

• You may interact with our Facebook Page and Instagram account (@thunder_qa) by commenting, reacting, messaging, or sharing.
• You agree not to post content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, sexually explicit, discriminatory, infringing, spam, or otherwise inappropriate.
• Thunder may hide, remove, or report any content that violates these Terms or Meta's Community Standards, and may block accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms.
• Interactions on Facebook and Instagram are also governed by Meta's own terms and policies.

• The Thunder name, logo, tagline ("Move with purpose."), branded visual system, and event names are trademarks of Thunder Sporting Events. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
• All content published by Thunder (photographs, results pages, certificates, reports, posts) is owned by Thunder or its licensors. You may share Thunder content via the platform's native share features but may not redistribute, sell, or modify it.

• Thunder may cancel, postpone, shorten, reroute, or otherwise modify an event due to weather, safety, regulatory, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Refund policy in such cases is published per event.
• Thunder is not liable for travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred in connection with attending a cancelled or modified event.

To the maximum extent permitted by Qatari law, Thunder's total liability to you arising out of or related to your use of the Services or participation in any event is limited to the amount you paid Thunder in the preceding twelve (12) months. Thunder is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.

You agree to indemnify and hold Thunder harmless from any claim arising from your breach of these Terms, your conduct at an event, or your violation of the rights of any third party.

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how we use it.

We may suspend or terminate your access to any part of the Services, or your registration to any event, at any time for breach of these Terms or for legitimate operational reasons.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Doha, Qatar.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
