Terms of Service

Thunder is an events organizer and sport-technology platform based in Doha, Qatar, producing triathlons, road races, swims, rides, and community events, and providing athlete, coaching, and organization tools.

• You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for activity under your sign-in.
• Organizations (federations, clubs, schools) are responsible for having a lawful basis under the PDPPL to add members, and for obtaining the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian before adding or processing a minor’s data.
• Coaches and administrators may only access data for athletes within their assigned group.

• Provide accurate information, including age and any required medical disclosures.
• Participants under 18 must register with the consent and signature of a parent or legal guardian.
• Registrations are subject to event-specific terms (fees, refund windows, transfers, qualifying standards) on the event page.
• Thunder may refuse, cancel, or transfer a registration for misrepresentation, safety, or breach of these Terms.

• Follow all event rules, course markings, official instructions, and safety briefings.
• Endurance events carry inherent risks, including injury, illness, and death, which you assume knowingly and voluntarily.
• You confirm you are medically fit, have trained appropriately, and have disclosed relevant medical conditions.
• Do not participate under the influence of alcohol or unprescribed drugs.

By participating, you grant Thunder a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use photographs, video, audio, race results, and likenesses captured at the event for editorial, promotional, sponsor-reporting, and historical purposes. To opt out of identifiable use, contact info@thunder.qa in advance.

• You may interact with our Facebook Page and Instagram account (@thunder_qa).
• Do not post unlawful, abusive, defamatory, explicit, discriminatory, infringing, or spam content.
• We may hide, remove, or report violating content and block repeat offenders. Interactions are also governed by Meta’s terms.

The Thunder name, logo, tagline, visual system, and event names are trademarks of Thunder. Content we publish (photos, results, certificates, reports, posts) is owned by Thunder or its licensors. You may share it via native share features but may not redistribute, sell, or modify it without permission.

Thunder may cancel, postpone, shorten, reroute, or modify an event due to weather, safety, regulatory, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control; the refund policy for such cases is published per event. We are not liable for travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred for a cancelled or modified event.

To the maximum extent permitted by Qatari law, Thunder’s total liability arising out of the Services or any event is limited to the amount you paid Thunder in the preceding twelve (12) months, and Thunder is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages. You agree to indemnify Thunder against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your conduct at an event, or your violation of a third party’s rights.

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes the data we collect (including wearable/health data, assessments, and talent discovery) and your rights.

We may suspend or terminate access for breach or legitimate operational reasons. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, with the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Doha; our processing of personal data is governed by the Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (PDPPL), Law No. (13) of 2016, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
